According to an order issued by the Delhi Lieutenant-Governor, Vijai Kapoor, the newly inducted members would have a three-year tenure from the date they take over office. While Rev. Valson Thampu has been given another extension, Mr. Bawa fills in the quota from the Sikh community. Mr. Bawa is a well-known social worker and an active member of the Congress and has held party posts on different occasions.
