BSNL launches `Sulabh' scheme
NEW DELHI
SEPT. 30.
To penetrate the low end of the market, the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. today announced a new scheme for basic phone subscribers with the facility of only incoming calls at rentals ranging between Rs. 99 to Rs. 160 a month.
Under the scheme, `Subabh', the subscriber will have to pay a rental of only Rs. 160 or Rs. 120 or Rs. 99 per month, depending upon the size of the network for getting the facility of only incoming calls, the BSNL Chairman and Managing Director, Prithipal Singh, said. "Customers can also make outgoing calls, including long distance, both domestic and international, using the India Telecom card at an applicable rate of Rs. 1.10 per unit," he said. UNI
