COIMBATORE: Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund is making impressive strides in the Coimbatore region, Vikas Sachdeva, Head (sales and distribution), told a press conference here on Monday. Earlier, the company had only a franchisee in Coimbatore. From just Rs. 30 lakhs of business during the past three years, it had now achieved Rs. 30 crores of business. "Hence we have opened our branch here, which will speed up process and transactions". This was the 19th branch of the company. He said it was planned to introduce "investment through internet" by the end of November this year. Besides, the company was eyeing the pension market as well. According to S. K. Mitra, director (financial services), Aditya Birla group, "Coimbatore is a high potential investment centre and Birla Mutual Fund is confident of doing great business here". Our Special Correspondent
