No limit?

Sir, — The recent Cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh has shown how political opportunism has eroded the Indian democratic structure. A Cabinet of 98 Ministers can only mean that development of the State will be sidelined. A law limiting the size of a Ministry would be welcome.

Sir, — Mr. Yadav has broken all previous records. This politics of appeasement and opportunism only encourages defection, which is the bane of parliamentary democracy.

Sir, — Congratulations to Mr. Yadav who needs to add just two Ministers `to hit a century'. I hope he soon gets a place in the Guinness book of records.
