'No report on suicide by farmers'

Bangalore Oct. 9. The Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Justice A.S. Anand, today said the commission had not received a report from the State Government on suicide by farmers.

Responding to questions from presspersons after inaugurating a two-day workshop to sensitise government agencies on issues related to bonded labour and child labour issues here, he said the commission had already appointed a special rapporteur to make an on-the-spot study of the issue.
