Punish severely

Sir, — The rape of a Delhi college student by four soldiers of the Presidential Guards in broad daylight is highly condemnable. The men in uniform, who are supposed to be most disciplined, should be punished so severely that it will serve as a deterrent to others in future.

K.D. Viswanaathan,

Coimbatore, T.N.

V.S. Venkatavaradan,

Salem, T.N.
