Sir, — People born in the post-Independence era are grateful for the supplement, "The Mahatma and The Hindu" (Oct. 2). It was as if we were taken back in time to the Gandhian era.

Sir, — I am a regular visitor to The Hindu on the net. It helps me stay updated with the events in India. There was once a supplement that carried an article on the items to have on hand before travelling abroad. I have that paper cutting till date.
