Top Asian pugilists for Afro-Asian Games

New Delhi Oct.10. Eight Busan Asiad boxing Gold medallists, five from Uzbekistan and three from South Korea, will be seen in action in the 1st Afro-Asian Games to be held in Hyderabad from October 24 to November 1.

According to the Games organising committee release, Uzbekistan is fielding a strong eight-member squad, while Korea will field a five-member team.

The release claimed that ``it will be the best-ever assembly of boxers in India.''

54 kg: Sooltonov Bahodorjan, Gold: World cadet and Jr Championship; Bronze: World Championship, Bangkok. 57 kg: Bekzod Khidirov, Silver: Busan Asian Games. 60 kg: Dilshod Mahmudov, Gold: Busan Asian Games. 64 kg: Bahit Sarsekbaev, Bronze: Busan Asian Games. 75 kg: Utkirbek Haydarov, Gols: Busan Asian Games; Gold: World Championship, 1997; Silver: World Championship, 1999. 81 kg: Ikrom Beridiev, Gold: Busan Asian Games. 91 kg: Sergey Mihayilov, Gold: Busan Asian Games. +91 kg: Rustam Saidov, Gold: Busan Asian Games; Bronze: Sydney Olympics; Bronze: World Championship, Bangkok 2003.
