The average price offered by traders to the sunflower seeds auctioned through the Mayiladuthurai regulated market last month hovered around Rs. 1750 a quintal. Around 12 tonnes of sunflower seeds were disposed of by the ryots through the regulated market last month, according to M. R. Singaravelu, Secretary (in charge), Nagapattinam Marketing Committee.
