A township for Pandits

Jammu Oct. 10. Giving a practical shape to his statements to bring back the Pandits to the Kashmir Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, today approved an ambitious and integrated Rs. 33 crore project for construction of 300 houses for migrants at Sheikhpora in Budgam district at a high-level meeting held here this morning.

The township spread over 92 kanals envisages construction of 300 two-bedroom tenements, with 12 sets in each of the 25 blocks in the three-storeyed complex. It will have a high school, hospital, community hall, shop, temple, electric sub-station, sewage plant, car parking lot, overhead water tank, well-developed internal roads, children's park, green areas and other such common facilities.
