Marking the culmination of its "Fortune 50 offer" that came with surprise prizes on all 50 days from August 1 to September 19, a mega draw was held here on Friday. The prize a new Mercedes Benz C-200 K was won by A. Joseph of Hyderabad. The Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, drew the winner of the mega prize from a total of 300 winners from six metros in the presence of the Civil Aviation Secretary, K. Roy Paul, the IA Chairman and Managing Director, Sunil Arora, senior IA officials and selected passengers. Mr. Joseph, a scientist working with the Defence Research and Development Lab, was congratulated over the phone by Mr. Rudy. Indian Airlines now has eight marketing schemes aimed at generating passenger interest. They are: super saver for international passengers, restoration of flexible conditions for senior citizens, extension of flyaways packages to various destinations till March 2004, road show for Sharjah and other Gulf destinations, extension of super saver scheme for domestic passengers, combination of super saver and apex fares with IA Taj offer, upgradation of frequent flyer programme with Golden Edge club offer, introduction of smart voyager offer and new online services to boost cargo sales.
