The DIG of Police (HQ), N.C. Ghosh, said here that officer-in-charge of the Bandwan police station, Nilmadhab Das, on way to Madhyuban, 72 km from Purulia, died of splinter injuries suffered in the blast, suspected to be the handiwork of either the Peoples War or the Maoist Communist Centre near Katajhora.
