Rain likely over Lakshadweep
Rainfall occurred at a few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Telangana. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are: Vellore 3, Parangipettai (Cuddalore dt.), Allagadda (Krishna dt.) and Sankeshwara (Belgaum dt.) 2 each and Ambur (Vellore dt.), Channapatna (Bangalore rural dt.) and Panambur 1 each. On Friday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, rose at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, fell appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably to markedly above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka and at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, Telangana, Rayalaseema, and appreciably below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Pondicherry airport and Madurai airport recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were above normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, south coastal Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over south Kerala and were generally normal over rest of the region. Hakimpet recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius in the plains of the region.
