Cash stolen from temple

BANGALORE OCT. 11. Burglars broke into the Sri Shanimahatma Temple at Doddakannahalli in Koramangala Police Station limits on Friday night and made away with cash from the "hundi,'' according to police.

The amount stolen was not known, police said. Following a complaint by the temple priest, the Koramangala Police have registered a case.

Killed in mishap: Vasanth Kumar (30) of Palace Guttahalli was seriously injured when a Tempo Traveller dashed against the Tata Sumo van he was driving on Ring Road, off Horamavu, in Banaswadi Police Station limits on Friday.

Kumar died of injuries in a private hospital late in the night. The Frazer Town Traffic Police have registered a case.

Arrested: The Byatarayanapura Police have arrested three people for allegedly being involved in murder, attempt to murder, and robbery cases, and recovered gold ornaments, a motorcycle, and weapons from them. Police gave the names of the arrested as Palani (24), Mohan Kumar (23), and Saleem, alias Bombay Saleem (24), of Hosaguddadhahalli.

Police said to have solved four cases of murder reported from Cottonpet, Hanumanthanagar, Byatarayanapura, and K.P. Agrahara police station limits with their arrest.
