Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
The City BJP unit president, Venkara Ramani, demanded that criminal cases be booked against the erring MLAs. In a release, Mr. Venkara Ramani termed the behaviour of the Majlis MLAs -- Afsarkhan and Mumtaj Khan -- and other Majlis leaders `unlawful'. "Their effort to disrupt the issuance of photo identity cards to voters by the Municipal Corporation officials exposed their lack of respect for democracy," he said. If they continued their unlawful behaviour, the BJP would respond in a fitting manner and the public too would despise them, he said.
