Krishna Rao lauds people's spirit

HYDERABAD OCT. 12. The outgoing Police Commissioner, M.V. Krishna Rao, has described city dwellers as peace loving people and that the recent Ganesh immersion procession passed off peacefully because of their cooperation.

Replying to the felicitations organised by IPT Medica Coordinating Services here yesterday, Mr. Rao felt the felicitation was not only for him but for the 10,000-strong police force in the city.

Mr. Rao said he carried out his job as an impartial officer as he had no pressure from the Chief Minister and the Home Minister.

The A.P. State Cultural Council Chairman, C. Narayana Reddy, lauded the services of Commissioner. Justice Sardar Ali Khan and the IPT chief, R. Minai, spoke.
