Letters to the Editor
Sir, The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati, has blamed the Prime Minister for `instigating' the CBI raids on her residences. She has also blamed Manuwadis in general for her predicament. Even assuming that the CBI raids were `instigated', does that absolve her of the charge of acquiring property by illegal means? Obviously, it cannot be the contention of Ms. Mayawati that non-Manuwadi forces can possess assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
