Letters to the Editor
Sir, I disagree with the views expressed in your editorial "Muzzling democratic expression" (Oct. 8). The Calcutta High Court has, in fact, done a great social service by banning bandhs and processions on weekdays. People can resort to novel ways of protest such as cleaning up roads, tanks, lakes, and beaches. This will also earn them huge public support and sympathy.
