Arun Kumar, Group CEO, Strides, said the tie-up was part of the company's strategy to become a "priority manufacturer'' for leading pharmaceutical companies in the regulated markets in the EU, the U.K., the U.S., South Africa, Australia/NZ and Japan. The two companies signed an MOU to form a joint venture company in Japan, to exploit the growing generics market in Japan.
