Mr. Hean arrived here on Sunday on a four-day state visit. Besides interacting with Ministers and senior officials, he is scheduled to visit defence establishments in Hyderabad and Bangalore. Mr. Hean later met the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani. The three service chiefs Madhvendra Singh, N.C. Vij and S. Krishnaswamy called on him separately. The members of the visiting delegation comprise the Ministry of Defence Policy Officer, Sil Lin Loow, the Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary, Peter Ho Hak En, and the Changi Air Base Project Director, Richard Christopher Pereira. The Indian side for the delegation-level talks was led by Mr. Fernandes and included the Defence Secretary, Ajay Prasad, the Deputy Chief of the Army Staff, Ashok Chaki, the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, Raghu Rajan, the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff, Ajit Tiwari, the Defence Research and Development Organisation Chief Controller, A.S. Pillai, and senior Defence Ministry officials, Ranjit Issar and S.C. Gupta.
