This Day That Age
The Apartheid Commission headed by former Economic and Social Council President, Mr. Hernan Santa Cruz of Chile, submitted its 372-page report to Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Pandit, President of the General Assembly of the United Nations. In sum, the Commission said that South Africa's racial colour-bar policy constituted a violation of that country's solemn pledges subscribing to the U.N. Charter, and that it posed a grave threat to peaceful human progress.
