It has put the entire security apparatus, already engaged in various blast-related probes, to a severe stress. But the security agencies which came under a sharp attack for their alleged failure, are leaving nothing to chance. As it was under the rivetment that ultras had planted all 17 claymore mines and detonated, the Bomb Disposal squad is scanning all rivetments and if necessary, digging them up. Earthmovers are also being used extensively to scoop up explosives or fuse-wires, if any, hidden in the shrub jungles along the ghat roads. Arrangements are also on to monitor the movement of the CM's convoy through out its route using CC-TVs. M.V. Ramachandra Raju, who is to take over as the new Chittoor SP, ould visited the blast site on the ghat road along with the DIG (Kurnool), Satya Narayan.
