`Many Cong. leaders unhappy with Krishna'

By Our Staff Correspondent

DAVANGERE OCT. 14. The statement of the former Union Minister, C.K. Jaffer Sharief, that the Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, might not head the Congress Government after the next elections was proof of the serious internal bickering within the party, according to the President of the BJP State unit, H.N. Ananth Kumar.

Speaking to presspersons here today, Mr. Kumar claimed that many more senior leaders of the party, including Margaret Alva, MP, B. Janardhana Poojary, KPCC President, and the Ministers, H. Vishwanath and A. Krishnappa, were unhappy with the functioning of Mr. Krishna.

B.S. Yediyurappa, chairman of the BJP campaign committee, criticised the Chief Minister for undertaking the "Janaspandana Yatra" and receiving petitions from the people. He wondered why the deputy commissioners, tahsildars, and the Ministers in charge of the respective districts could not hear the people's problems and find solutions to them.
