Sir, The Congress outrage over the NCP leader, Sharad Pawar's remark on the foreign origin of Sonia Gandhi is meaningless. Mr. Pawar left the party only over the issue. For the Congressmen to have entered into an alliance with him for political gains, and to denounce him for his statements now is not sensible.

Sir, After running the coalition in Maharashtra with the Congress, Mr. Pawar has no right or locus standi to say that Ms. Gandhi is an imported leader. This smacks of opportunism.
