VHP seeks help to manage inflow of `Ram bhakts'

ALLAHABAD OCT. 14. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today sought the help of social, religious and voluntary organisations for attending to the ever-increasing flow of `Ram bhakts' here.

VHP sources claimed that around 40,000 Ram bhakts had already arrived in the city and the numbers continued to swell. All the tents erected to accommodate them were full, and it was getting difficult to manage the increasing influx.

Meanwhile, Jyotishpeethadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Basudevanand Saraswati urged the Central and Uttar Pradesh Governments not to impose restrictions on the Ram bhakts.

He said that in a democracy, every person had the right to perform religious rituals.

Jagatguru Madhavacharya of Udupi Swami Visheswar Teerth also criticised the State Government for restricting the entry of the Ram Bhakts in Ayodhya. — UNI
