Bank extension counter

CHENNAI OCT. 17. The Assembly office extension counter of the Indian Bank, presently attached to the Anna Salai branch, was today shifted "to a new spacious premises" in the MLAs Residential Complex at the Government Estate.

The Assembly Speaker, K. Kalimuthu, opened the counter at a function in which the Indian Bank Chairperson and Managing Director, Ranjana Kumar, and its Executive Director, M.B.N. Rao, and the Assembly Secretary, V. Rajaraman, participated.

Ms. Kumar said the State Government had provided the premises to house the extension counter. She detailed the bank's initiatives in supplementing the efforts of the Government in schemes like self-help groups for women.
