The Minister for Housing, P. Ramasubba Reddy, inaugurated an eSeva centre in Nehru Park in Cooperative Colony and enquired about the facilities with the Joint Collector, G. Jayalakshmi. The Minister for Woman and Child Welfare, S. Saraswathi, inaugurated two eSeva centres at the Collectorate and the Municipal Travellers' Bungalow in the town. Each eSeva centre was constructed with DFID funds of Rs. 10 lakhs. The A.P. Technological Services provided networking.
Beautification
The DFID had sanctioned Rs. 3 crores for the beautification of Cuddapah town and the amount was expected to be received by the Collector, Jayesh Ranjan, shortly, Mrs. Saraswathi stated. She later laid the foundation stone for a cement road to be laid at Masapet here at a cost of Rs. 15 lakhs. The Cuddapah MLA, S.A. Khaleel Basha, the Joint Collector, G. Jayalakshmi, the Municipal Chairman, Md. Ahmedullah, the vice-chairperson, B. Padmavathi, the RTO, Narasimha Reddy, the Cuddapah RDO, Khaja Mohiuddin, the Municipal Commissioner, S.S. Varma, the municipal health officer, Shabbeer Ahmed, and the councillors -- S. Mohiuddin Saheb, Nazeer Ahmed, B. Narasimha Babu, Hussain Basha, T. Sriramulu and Basavaraju -- also participated.
