According to a bulletin issued by the Belle Vue Clinic, where Ganguly is being treated, he is recovering well after the minor surgery that was necessitated after he "complained of pain in the wound.'' Ganguly, who missed the second Test against New Zealand owing to the painful sore, arrived here on Friday night and immediately sought medical help. The medical board of the hospital decided on a "dressing under non-incubating light general anaesthesia, and his family consent taken.'' The hospital communique also added that his abscess was "debrided of slough and dressed and the margin of the wound was trimmed.'' The whole procedure went well and the captain is on his way to recovery. Our Sports Reporter
