Pankaj and Alok post wins

BANGALORE Oct. 18. Pankaj Advani and Alok Kumar of India posted victories in the IBSF World snooker championship at Jiangmen (China), according to reports reaching the Karnataka State Billiards Association on Saturday.

In the women's section, Chitra beat her Dutch opponent but Uma lost to her Belgian rival.

The results:

Men: Alok Kumar bt Susantha Boteju (Sri Lanka) 95-10, 87-08, 59-45, 60-41; Pankaj Advani bt Declan Laviry (N. Ireland) 76-31, 86-11, 114-22, 60-45.

Women: Chitra bt Jaimy van der Sonda (Netherlands) 55-13, 61-35, 65-26; Wendy Jans (Belgium) bt Uma Devi 25-67, 80-28, 65-33, 56-45.
