He said that under normal course, the House should be called to session immediately when a notice of such a nature had been served. Mr. Bhargavan at the same time said that his party was neither in a hurry to topple the Antony Government nor in a haste to form a new Government in case the present Government fell. "We are adopting a positive approach on this issue," he said. His party was also not in favour of a mid-term poll. The right decision would be taken at the right time, he said. However, The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, should understand that the general mood of the people of the State was against his Government. The outcome of the Eranakulam by-poll was a reflection of this mood and it was also an indication that Mr. Antony should step down. He said all the constituents of the UDF, except for the CMP, too desired Mr. Antony's exit. He said that if the Indian Union Muslim League failed to control its minority communal approach the policy would soon boomerang on that party.
