Quota norms being flouted, says MLA

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Oct. 18. The CPI Legislature Party deputy leader, Benoy Viswom, has said that reservation norms are being flouted in the admissions to self-financing professional colleges.

In a statement here today, the CPI leader said the allotment lists published after counselling on July 2 and September 17 showed that there was violation of norms relating to reservation of seats for various categories, figuring in Clause 4 of the allotment protocol. He wondered why the SNDP Yogam general secretary, Vellappally Natesan, were observing silence when the reservation norms relating to the backward castes were being flouted.
