He said the packet of chocolate was bought from a popular confectionery store in Perumbavoor town. The chocolate packet bore the batch number T30R3T2. The manufacturing date was 7/03 and expiry date 7/04. Mr. Parameswaran said he had lodged a complaint with the Perumbavoor municipal authorities about the contaminated chocolate. He said that several other cases of chocolates containing worms were reported earlier and no action had been taken so far. The contaminated chocolates were being sold in collusion with the Government machinery and that people should be warned about what could be a potential health hazard, he said.
