Security upgraded

BHUBANESWAR OCT. 18. The Orissa Government has decided to upgrade the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik's security from `Z' category to `Z plus' in view of the heightened threat perception from naxalites.

A decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting attended by the Director-General of Police, N.C. Padhi, here late on Friday evening.

The People's War had warned the Chief Minister on Thursday to stop `police atrocities' against them or face an attack similar to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart, N. Chandrababu Naidu.
