Licence for fishing: HC directive

KOCHI Oct. 18. A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court has held that the recommendations of the expert committees on marine resources should be considered while granting licence for fishing under the Kerala Marine Fisheries Regulation Act, 1980. The Bench made the observation while overruling a single judge's verdict holding that the expert committee's recommendations should not be taken into account while considering the application for fishing licence.
