Nandita wins under-12 title

BANGALORE Oct. 18. Twelve-year-old Nandita Krishnan posted a 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-3 win over top seed Janaki Rao of Andhra Pradesh in the under-12 girls' final in the Nike junior Masters championship at the Nike Bhupathi Tennis Village courts on Saturday.

The results (finals): Boys: Under-12: Yuki Bhambri (Del) bt Shiva Sangwan (Chd) 6-0, 6-3.

Under-14: Agnel Gladwin (Mah) bt Navneetha Kannan (TN) 6-1, 6-2.

Girls: under-12: Nandita Krishnan (TN) bt Janaki Rao (AP) 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-3.

Under-14: G.K. Shwetha (Kar) bt Akshitha B. Raj (Kar) 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-0.
