Sasikiran loses again

NEW DELHI OCT. 18. K. Sasikiran's poor run in the Samba Cup continued when he lost to Russian Evgeny Alekseev in the seventh round in Skanderborg, Denmark, on Friday.

After suffering a defeat for the third consecutive round, Sasikiran remained on 2.5 points.

The results:

Seventh round: Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukr) (3.5) lost to Darmen Sadvakasov (Kaz) (4.5); Curt Hansen (Den) (4) lost to Nigel Short (Eng) (4.5); Victor Bologan (Mol) (3.5) drew with Rustam Kasimdzhanov (Uzb) (3); Davor Palo (Den) (2) lost to Peter Heine Nielsen (Den) (4.5); Evgeny Alekseev (Rus) (3) bt K. Sasikiran (2.5).
