Badani replaces Ganguly

MOHALI OCT 20. Tamil Nadu left-hander Hemang Badani has replaced Sourav Ganguly for the first two matches of the forthcoming tri-series.

According to the Board secretary, S.K. Nair, Ganguly will not be available for the matches against New Zealand at Chennai on October 23 and Australia on October 26.

Ganguly underwent two operations in Chandigarh and Kolkata for the removal of abscess in his left upper thigh. He had missed the second Test too on account of the injury.

Badani last played for India in the one-day International against England at Mumbai in 2002. — Our Special Correspondent
