This Day That Age
West German Chancellor Dr. Konrad Adenauer presented his new Cabinet to President Theodor Heuss. Eighteen of 19 Ministers were present leaving open only the Ministry of Posts. Vice-Chancellor Franz Bluecher was absent because he was ill. The others including Dr. Adenauer received their patents of office from the President in a short ceremony at the President's residence, the Villa Hammerschmidt.
