Letters to the Editor
Sir, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa used to tell the story of a peacock which was fed opium at four in the evening. It returned the next day for another dose. This was with reference to Narendra Nath's (Swami Vivekananda) visits to his hermitage everyday. Similarly, we look forward to The Hindu everyday at 6 a.m. And we wring our hands in despair when The Hindu is not printed.
S. Umamahesweran,
* * * Sir, Your special supplements of Sept. 13 and Oct. 2 were very good.
A. Chelliah,
* * * Sir, Rev. Fr. Jerome D' Souza, Principal, St. Joseph's College, Tiruchi, used to advise us to read the editorials of The Hindu to improve our English.
K. Subramanian,
