Special trains for Deepavali festival

BANGALORE OCT. 21. South Western Railway, Bangalore Division, will run special trains to clear the passenger rush during the Deepavali festival.

They are: Bangalore City-Chennai Central special (train no. 0644) will leave Bangalore at 11.45 p.m. on Wednesday and reach Chennai Central at 8.05 a.m. on Thursday. In the return direction, train no. 0643 leaves Chennai Central at 11.20 p.m. on Thursday and reach Bangalore at 7.35 a.m. on Friday. The train runs via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam, and Perambur. It will have one two-tier AC coach, eight three-tier second sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, and two second-class-cum-luggage vans.

Train no. 0646 leaves Bangalore at 8.45 p.m. on Thursday and reach Chennai Central at 4 a.m. on Friday. In the return direction, train no. 0645 leaves Chennai at 11.20 p.m. on Sunday and reach Bangalore at 7.35 a.m. on Monday. It will have two two-tier AC coaches, one three-tier AC coach, 12 three-tier second sleeper class coaches, three general second-class coaches, and two second-class-cum-luggage vans.

Train no. 0648 leaves Bangalore at 5.45 p.m. on Wednesday and reach Nagercoil at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday. In the return direction, train no. 0647 leaves Nagercoil at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday and reach Bangalore at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The train runs via Bangalore Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikanal, Madurai, Virudunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Maniyachi, and Tirunelveli. It will have two three-tier AC coaches, seven three-tier second-class sleeper coaches, three general second-class coaches, and two second-class-cum-luggage vans. Bangalore City-Kacheguda special leaves Bangalore at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday and reach Kacheguda at 7.30 a.m. on Friday. The train leaves Kacheguda at 8.30 p.m. on Sunday and reach Bangalore at 10 a.m. on Monday.

The train runs via Yeshwantpur, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, and Mehaboobnagar. It will have two three-tier AC coaches, eight three-tier second-class sleeper coaches, two general second-class coaches, and two second-class-cum-luggage vans.
