Petition against strike ban

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Oct. 21.S ervice and teachers organisations of all hues of the State have joined hands to prepare a mass petition signed by over 10 lakh persons against the Supreme Court judgement on strikes by Government employees. The signatures obtained from each district are being collected by the State level leaders of the organisations to the accompaniment of demonstrations and public meetings. The leaders who will be coming to Thiruvananthapuram with the signatures by the Parasuram Express tomorrow will be given a reception at the Thampanoor railway station. The signatures will be handed over to the Governor at the end of a Raj Bhavan march which will get underway from the Museum junction at 11 a.m. on October 23.
