Panels to explore solution to Ayodhya issue

Bangalore Oct. 21. The National Commission for Minorities has set up two committees to meet both majority and minority leaders separately to know their mind in an initiative to find a solution to the Ayodhya issue, the Chairman of the commission, Tarlochan Singh, said today.

One committee, which will be headed by M.S. Usmani, Vice-Chairman of the commission, will hold dialogues with Muslim organisations to explore how the issue could be resolved. Another panel, headed by Lt. Gen. A.M. Sethna, retired Vice-Chief of the Army Staff, will work with the majority community.
