Employed by Sri Sammakka Sarakka stone crushing unit, the victims were working in the hills. They ran for shelter and stood behind some rocks when it started raining heavily in the evening. The thunderbolt hit them around 4.45 p.m. Both Narsimha and Srishailam were residents of Borabanda in Hyderabad. Poddu was a native of Madhya Pradesh and came to the city for livelihood.
