By Our Special Correspondent
In the first list, the party has targeted two senior leaders of the Congress, the Finance Minister, Pradhyumna Singh and the former Chief Minister, Heeralal Devpura, by fielding their relatives from their Assembly seats. The party candidate for Raja Kheda, the seat held by Mr.Singh is his brother, Ravindra Singh. The party has fielded Rameshwar Asawa, the brother- in- law of Mr.Devpura from his home constituency, Kumbalgarh. Ravindra Singh was in the Congress till the other day. He was the one who had replaced Pradhyumna Singh as the official nominee of the Congress in 1985 when the party denied a renomination to the latter in the constituency for some reason. That time Ravindra Singh had lost to Mohan Prakash, who had fought on the Lok Dal ticket. Now Mr.Prakash is with the Congress. Unlike Ravindra Singh, who has been with Pradhyumna Singh till recently, Mr.Asawa has been always fighting against Mr.Devpura in Kumbalgarh constituency. One reason for Mr.Devpura's dismissal of his brother- in- law's candidature with a smirk is the fact that they have already fought against each other five times. As for Pradhyumna Singh, he too does not think that Ravindra Singh's presence in the fray would lead to a division of his votes. The other nominees of the Samajwadi Party include its State president, Pandit Ramkishen, who will fight from Bharatpur, Man Singh Sunia(Suratgarh), Satish Kumar Yadav (Chomu), Mukesh Yadav(Bansur) and Mahendra Yadav(Behror). The SP candidate in Osian, the seat of senior Congress MLA, Narendra Singh Bhati, is Gopal Singh Bhalasaria. The other nominees are; Sandeep Purohit (Bundi), H.N.Sharma(Begun), Kishen Singh Khadia(Bilara), Mohan Singh Bhati(Phalodi), Purkha Ram(Merta), Pulin Parmar(Bayana), Anil Tawad(Sarada), Manavendra Singh(Kishengarh) and Rajendra Singh Shekhawat (Jhunjhunnu).
