Ready for cricket, other sporting links

New Delhi Oct. 22. India today decided to resume cricketing and other sporting links with Pakistan.

The External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha, told reporters that the decision had been conveyed by the Foreign Secretary, Kanwal Sibal, to Pakistan's High Commissioner in India, Aziz Ahmed Khan.

Mr. Sinha said the Board of Control for Cricket in India was now free to hold talks with its Pakistani counterpart for chalking out programmes.
