Rich tributes to The Hindu

NEW DELHI OCT. 25. The Chairman of the National Cultural Organisation, N.P. Seshadri, today paid rich tributes to The Hindu "for maintaining the highest standards of journalism and independent policy of public opinion without any fear or favour".

Presiding over the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Institute of Public Opinion here, Dr. Seshadri said the late Kasturi Srinivasan was not only a great editor but also an excellent organiser with great human sympathy. "He was a simple gentleman ever ready to help any good cause." Referring to the state of art and culture in the country today, Dr. Seshadri appealed to the Central Department of Culture as well as the State governments not to spend too much of public money on cultural programmes.
