Another low pressure likely

CHENNAI OCT. 25. The low pressure over Tamil Nadu moved northward and was hovering over northern Andhra Pradesh and southern Orissa this morning, the Meteorological department said. Light to moderate rain is still likely in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry over the next few days. Officials of the department said the northeast monsoon in the State would continue till December and another low pressure could be expected soon.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu experienced only isolated rainfall on Friday and Tuticorin recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius. Kancheepuram, Tiruvannamalai and Tirumangalam near Madurai received 2 cm of rain each, and Ponneri in Tiruvallur, Sendamangalam in Namakkal and Kodaikanal 1 cm.
