'Remove encroachments'

By Our Staff Reporter

BHUBANESWAR OCT. 25. The Orissa Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, has directed the authorities concerned to clear all encroachments around the national monuments and major temples in the State.

At a high-level meeting organised to discuss the security arrangements at various monuments and temples, Mr. Patnaik ordered that encroachments should be removed as early as possible to make these places attractive for the tourists.

The places where encroachments would be removed by December 15 include the Jagannath temple, the Konark temple and the Lingaraj temple, Khandagiri, Udaygiri and Dhauligiri.
