By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE OCT. 25. Two newborn female babies were found abandoned in separate cases reported from Malleswaram and Yelahanka on Thursday and Friday. A woman, who gave birth to a baby at K.C. General Hospital in Malleswaram on Friday, went missing after some time. After efforts to trace her failed, the baby was handed over to volunteers of Makkala Sahaya Vani (MSV), a child helpline at the Police Commissioner's office. In another case, a 15-day-old girl baby was found abandoned on a pavement at Yelahanka on Thursday. The MSV volunteers took the baby into their custody and later handed it over to an orphanage after naming it Suchitra, the police said.
