'Safe' haven

Sir, — This is with reference to "Muslim leaders warn of counter-terrorism" ( Oct. 17 ). They should realise that most Hindus do not support the VHP and the RSS, or the concept of a Hindu Rashtra. As for the statement that they would move the United Nations to carve out a "safe heaven" within India, I wonder if they can find a safer place than where they live now. They should read the history of Muslim rule in India to know what the rulers did to Hindus.
